Mr. Lane has remained actively involved in the management and performance of financial audit, tax, and consulting engagements throughout his career in public accounting and consulting. In 1996, he completed the examination and experience requirements to become a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California. In 2004, he completed the training and testing required to obtain certification as a certified valuation analyst.
Mr. Lane has performed the following types of assignments: numerous audits and reviews of manufacturing, distribution, construction, healthcare and SEC clients; merger and acquisition consultation; business and stock valuations; economic damage calculations; post-acquisition purchase price allocation appraisals; goodwill and intangible impairment assessments; forensic accounting analyses; as well as accounting systems consulting.
Mr. Lane has testified on numerous matters as a financial expert in superiors courts of Southern California and Arizona.
Mr. Lane has co-authored comments to the Financial Accounting Standards Board on behalf of the Construction Financial Management Association and written several articles related to business management, financial reporting, and tax planning.
Mr. Lane has acquired manufacturing operations and supported the prospective sale of operations in his capacity as a CFO and a consulting CPA.
After graduation from CSU Fullerton, Mr. Lane spent over eight years with the Singer Lewak LLP and progressed to Senior Manager. Mr. Lane also held CFO and Controller positions in manufacturing and construction industries as well as a Senior Manager position with an affiliate of Moore Stephens International Ltd.
